In a Crevice

Zaldibar in memoriam

Heaven and will
cracked rough,
the earth cracked too
thanks to just that.
They told us just that:
downfall, exhaustion
is a law of nature
and hey, it could be!

The hillside’s good, though,
until the landslide:
the day near dawn or
the day at dusk:
are we ending,
or just beginning?
The light is loveliest
in a little crevice . . .
